About Vedic Mathematics

Vedic Mathematics, is our own ancient system of Mathematics, based on Atharva Veda, which was rediscovered between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krisna Tirthaji Maharaja.
Vedic Mathematics is based on Sixteen Sutra, which is called as Formulae or Techniques or Magical Tricks. This user friendly Techniques are very easy to follow and apply.
For instance, 'Vertically and Crosswise` is one of these Sutras. It describes the way the mind works and is therefore a great help in directing the student to the appropriate method of solution. By using this technique difficult and huge problems can often be solved easily & quickly by the Vedic method.

The simplicity of Vedic Mathematics implies that calculations can be carried out mentally (though the methods can also be written down). There are many advantages in using a flexible, mental system. Pupils can invent their own methods; they are not limited to the one 'correct' method.

Vedic Mathematic is useful not only for solving problems related to  Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Square, Square Root and Cube Root but even useful in Algebra, Trigonometric and Calculus. It is also used for Astronomy and Numerology.
